Biography

Kennyjie is an Indonesian-born, Australian-trained industrial designer. He discovered design during his childhood years in the western part of Java before venturing overseas at the age of 17 to pursue a formal education.

In 2019, he graduated with a degree in Industrial Design with a minor in innovation from Swinburne University of Technology and is currently practicing with a Melbourne-based consumer product startup Orbitkey.

Kennyjie’s infant body of work has been awarded the International Top 20 for the James Dyson Awards, acknowledged with an iF and Red Dot Design Awards and has also won the prestigious design competition — Alessi Design Awards. He has been featured in Vogue Living and in the Smithsonian’s list of Ten Innovators to Watch in 2021.
